Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe 🍪

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 cups chocolate chips (semisweet or dark)
    • Sea salt flakes, for topping

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Mix the wet ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well blended. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
    3. Combine dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
    4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
    5. Shape the cookies. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, form balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure there is enough space between each cookie for them to spread.
    6. Bake. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
    7. Cool and finish. Once removed from the oven, sprinkle a little sea salt over the tops of the cookies to make these cookies extra delicious! Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
